About Us
Let's figure out a way to flip a coin and have it roll dice.

Christof and Steve met through mutual friends and started working together in April of 2018. They spent some time brainstorming a few product ideas until a group discussion with some other friends led to a realization: "flip a coin" only works if there are two options (duh). Flipping a coin is fun though, is there a way to make a coin that decides among more options? Wait! You could play board games with a coin!

Andrew and Evan were there at that meeting to help develop the core ideas and to establish important features the final product would require. Andrew then contacted his friend Andy who joined the team and got to work prototyping our printed circuit board (PCB), while Steve reached out to his friend Ted (Alex... long story) to join the team and design the housing.

As we approach our first fully functional prototype, we're gaining excitement by the day. Check our updates page for the most current information about d1.

Steve
Grew up in a place, then studied some things at a school before working in things at other places. Forgot to write a life summary before the site went live.
Evan
Not dead yet. Less dead than some.
Ted (Alex)
Grew up in Greensburg, PA, studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. Currently works as a Systems Engineer in robotics.
Andrew
Grew up in a place, then studied some things at a school before working in things at other places. Forgot to write a life summary before the site went live.
Andy
Graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with his MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2011. Worked at CMU's National Robotics Engineering Center for five years before joining a robotics startup.
